Senior Guard/ Armed Guard , Iraq

We are is seeking eligible and qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Guard/ Armed Guard in the Regional Security Office. 

Basic Function Of Position: 
The Local Guard Force Senior Guard manages and monitors all activities regarding security within Consulate General Erbil’s Compound Access Control points. They are the primary supervisors assigned to each CAC responsible for the safe and secure access onto the Consulate General compound for personnel and vehicles. 
When not conducting duties as a Senior Guard, the incumbent will also assume the normal duties of a Shift Supervisor, a Dispatcher, and/or a Local Guard. 

Qualifications Required: 
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified. 

1. Education: Completion of primary school is required. 

2. Experience:  Two (2) years of security experience is required. 

3. Language:  English level I (Rudimentary) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. Kurdish level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. Arabic level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (Language proficiency will be tested) 

4. Knowledge: Must maintain a working knowledge of U.S. Consulate General Erbil LGF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guard Orders. 

5. Abilities & Skills 
Needs to expertly handle human relations issues with tact, courtesy, firmness, and good judgment. Must be able to work in a high stress environment with variable shift hours. Ability to distinguish between facts and inferences. Provide quick and accurate reports through the proper chain of command. Familiar with all security equipment and proper tactical use by the LGF. Must complete LGF entry training and annual firearms qualifications.
