Security Supervisor

You'll manage the security staff who keep our Googlers safe and our world-class technologies and facilities secure. You'll collaborate with our Facilities Management team to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches and create risk assessment plans for the future. You believe that providing effective security doesn't come at the expense of customer service - you will be our bodyguard (and our long lost pal).

Responsibilities
Supervise the shift staff of proprietary security officers including work assignment, shift briefings and performance, training and on-the-job coaching, break and other emergency coverage for posts.
Review reports submitted by security officers for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
Liaise with vendors to oversee supplemental contract security staff during the work-shift.
Interface with other data center leads, the Global Security Operations Center and security managers.
Perform other job duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications
5 years of experience in professional security including functions as a security officer/supervisor, retail/store detective, law enforcement or military service supervising others, with 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
18 years of age or older as required by applicable law and be able to pass any training or other qualifications required for both licensing and the role.

Preferred qualifications
Experience working around active construction sites and providing countermeasures to minimize loss.
Able to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, periodic overtime and unscheduled shifts.
Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
