The Role
As Security Advisor you will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure the security of all Plan staff, property and operations. This will include: promoting a culture of security; security incident reporting; security guard oversight and management; monitoring and analysing the security situation in (country), promotoing and maintaining all the Standard Mandatory Security documents Safety and Security Operating Procedures.

Do you have what it takes?

Do you have demonstrable knowledge and practical work experience, preferably with non-profit or NGO within international humanitarian assistance programs, with proven capabilities in planning, organising and executing security operations in the field or in an emergency context? Do you have experience of security, and safety management? Have you got a good understanding of national security related issues and their relations to Plan’s contexts? If you have answered yes to these questions, have experience in conducting participatory risk assessments and preparing situational analyses, including the analysis of factors from both the internal and external environments, identifying crucial risks that have to be addressed, setting objectives and developing plans of action then this role could be for you.

You will also possess excellant communication skills (written and verbal) both in English and French. Demonstrated ability in time management and organisation skills; and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
