Job Description
Scope of Work

Information Analysis and Advisory
Close liaison with the contracted security provider, including offering leadership, management and tacticalguidance to the contracted guard staff and quality assurance of provided services.
Maintain close liaison with relevant government offices in order for the company to obtain necessary securityclearance and support for district travel
Close liaison with provincial and national law enforcement agencies to obtain back up security as neededwhen staff are conducting travel within districts
Identification of additional information sources in order to create an information-gathering network.
Keep up to date with a range of Pakistani Government, police and military contacts in all the
areas where weoperate. Learning of emerging threats and providing guidance on how to adapt operating procedures tokeep our personnel safe and secure.
To provide security clearance prior to any travel by our personnel between cities, towns or provinces inPakistan. On receipt of a journey management plan to carry out checks on the route, including by speakingto relevant contacts on the ground to ascertain if there are any specific risks to our personnel while they aretravelling.
To provide security advice prior to any expansion of our work into a new area of Pakistan – assisting in theproduction of security and operations documents to mitigate any risks associated with it.
To carry out reviews of our security practices and exposure of our personnel at the request of the OperationsManager.
To provide high quality written security assessments, in English, at the request of the Operations Manager.
To provide a 24/7 contact in Lahore and in Peshawar who can answer our questions and provide theservices above.2. Security services to project staff
Obtain NOC and approvals for all staff travelling to Peshawar and as required for other districts and areas inPakistan.
Develop and lead training packages for ASI personnel to include first aid training, driver training, hostagetraining, communications and kidnap prevention updates.
Brief new staff on arrival and ensure personal emergency information files are updated
Develop risk profiles for all project staff in order to advise necessary security posture in different locations
Develop and continually review risk profiles of each KP & Punjab districts in order to outline necessarysecurity posture in each district
Carry out monthly security audits and checks to ensure that SOPs and processes are being followed.3. Operations management
Establish and administer a project operations cell, capable of tracking whereabouts of all project staff.
Maintain accurate records of security incidents to inform analysis of threat.
Continual review of the companies security Standard Operating Procedures and EmergencyEvacuation/Contingency Plan and to ensure they reflect the current threat environment
To provide a 24/7 point of contact for any emergency incident; this contact will provide guidance and actionany on the ground support for our personnel to assist in their extraction from any hostile situation.
To identify and maintain local contacts within the police, military and Pakistani Government in all the areasthat we work, who can provide an on the ground response to our personnel within an agreed time period.4. Key relationships

Internal: Programme Management, Security Service Provider, full time project staff, short term internationaland national consultants

External: National Intelligence Agencies (ISI, MI and IB), KP authorities, security advisers in INGOs and UNagencies

Qualifications/ Skills
Intimate knowledge of the security environment of KP and Punjab and links to high-level personnel withinintelligence agencies and provincial police service.
Proven operational unit or sub-unit command, staff and leadership experience.
Ability to work across a range of stakeholders and build strong relationships.
