Job Description:
IEA is seeking a contribution of personnel to EULEX, which monitors, mentors, and advises Kosovo police and justice institutions and exercises certain executive powers with respect to law enforcement and the judiciary. EULEX’s central aim is to support Kosovo authorities in advancing rule of law in Kosovo and strengthen the skills, competencies, and abilities of police, judiciary, and customs institutions. IEA seeks employees to provide police advisors and justice advisors, as well as other experts (collectively, "advisors"), who support EULEX and U.S. priorities in Kosovo by conducting mentoring working in an operational capacity within EULEX’s executive mandate.
Law enforcement experts and specialists with the ability to train and mentor Kosovo police in the areas listed below in adition to investigation of complex crimes, including war crimes, financial and cybercrime, organized crime, internal investigations, criminal intelligence and forensic investigations:
Police
Police mentoring, monitoring and/or advising
Community policing
Criminal Investigation
Crime scene investigation and forensics
Law Enforcement Intelligence
Narcotics investigations
Homicide Investigations
Transnational crime
Internal Affairs
Financial Crime Investigation
Witness security
Witness protection
Experience and Skills:
* five(5) years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer
* (10 years preferred) in an official government law enforcement agency.
* Active Secret Security Clearance
International experience, particularly in crisis, conflict and post-conflict areas
Experience in working with multi-national and international organizations
Experience working in Balkans region
Knowledge and any relevant academic studies in the Balkans region
