Position Summary

In support of future opportunities, CAMRIS International seeks qualified International Civilian Police Advisors and Subject Matter Experts to provide various services including: instruction and training, curriculum development, proposal development and program design, and technical advisement to law enforcement agencies around the world. Field work will involve providing subject matter expertise and technical assistance to senior officials on matters related to the impartial maintenance of law and order and the protection of human rights. This expertise will include assessing, monitoring, and training local police officers, interacting with local law enforcement stakeholders; observing, monitoring, and advising stakeholders in law enforcement responsibilities and best-practices; assessing existing training programs and making recommendations to local government stakeholders; developing training courses and offering instruction in both classroom and field settings. Positions range from brief domestic or foreign consultancies to 1 – 3 year field posts.

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university in relevant field. A Master’s degree or PhD is required for instruction or Subject Matter Expert positions.
Combined minimum of eight (8) years of work experience with at least five (5) years of experience in relevant field (i.e. federal, state, municipal, and county law enforcement service)
Currently employed in the respective lines of work for which you are being considered.
Ability to communicate in English (Foreign Service Institute standard level 4 for writing, reading comprehension, speaking for U.S. citizens and level 3 for third country nationals)
Valid U.S. or International driver’s license and ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle
Unblemished background. Ability to pass security clearance is a plus.
Excellent health and be able to pass requisite physical, medical and psychological tests
Valid U.S. passport (for non – U.S. citizens, valid passport from their country of citizenship)
Negotiating, interpersonal and leadership skills
The ability and willingness to train other individuals in their area of expertise
Must pass a nine-panel drug test.
Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) Certification.
