Description:
The Director of Safety and Securityis responsible for the oversight of the safety and security of the hotel. This person is required to respond to all guests and associate emergencies.
The Director of Safety and Security must also ensure the security of equipment and information. He/she plans, directs and monitors the implementation of security systems for protection of guests and associates against assault, theft and other threats. The Director of Safety and Security will also be responsible for the hiring, training and supervising new associates within the department.
The successful candidate has the following responsibilities: •Reportingcriminal information to authorities; •Investigatingbreaches committed against the hotel; •Planningall safety and security as well as staff engagement activities; •Performing and advising on all risk assessments;
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of senior management security experience within a customer service environment;
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree Information Systems, Public Security, Law Enforcement or related discipline;
A Master of Business Administration/Business Management with specialization in Organizational Development will be an asset;
Knowledge of security procedures evidenced by certificates;
Must possess investigative skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Being able to work with a team;
Must be able to work with a flexible schedule;
Good organizational skills;
Good analytical skills.
