As the Country Security Manager, you will be leading teams and oversee programs and practices to ensure an exemplary security culture within the country. In this role, you will be based out of Lahore, Pakistan.
Tasks:
As the Country Security Manager, your main responsibilities will include;
1. Governance: Maintaining full governance structure for security within the respective organization.
2. Metrics: Ensuring that a process for auditing and reporting of security performance is in place within their respective organization. Monitoring findings and closure of corrective actions within the line business.
3. Regulatory compliance: Overseeing and leading process of tracking, assessing and reporting on emerging security trends and related legislation. Ensuring respective organization is compliant with security standards, regulations and guidelines.
4. Risk management: Contributing to effective risk management of security related issues in the business by providing advice on key business decisions to the respective organization.
5. Continuous improvement: Driving behavioral change to continuously improve security performance through programs and initiatives. Facilitating the sharing of best practices, and applies Group standardized processes to deliver consistent security support within the respective organization.
6. Communication and engagement: Engaging external (e.g. customers, suppliers, relevant authorities and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on ABB's security efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperating with other functions and business partners to improve security measures.
7. Budget: Participating in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.
8. People management and development: Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the organization is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct / indirect subordinates (sustainability network) within HR policies.
9. Operations: Delivering annual plans and leads implementation of security objectives within the respective organization in alignment with ABB Group sustainability strategy. Reviewing and leading incident investigations. Ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are identified and implemented.
Actively supporting the Africa 1000 Days Program by collecting, analyzing and sharing security intelligence and assessments with the business (Divisions and Business Units).
10. Project management: Planning and executing security projects. Developing and reporting on project objectives. Managing project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors.
Other position specific responsibilities will include;
• Create and maintain a security network in Pakistan, including local ABB entities, peers, government representatives and similar contacts.
• Take regular part in business meetings and liaise with the different Divisions and BU’s in order to learn the need for security support as well as to share intelligence on security trends.
• Monitor and guide the performance of the local security provider for Pakistan.
• Follow the security development in Afghanistan and its possible spill-over effects.
Requirements:
As the ideal candidate, you will be a Pakistani national having Master's or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practice from military or police academy or equivalent practice and experience of security management, At least 3 years' experience within national police, armed forces or intelligence services or with international security organizations and consultancies and experience of leading a team, is desirable, Demonstrated experience of leading a team, Demonstrated skills of incident management and crisis response methodologies, Very good verbal and written communication skills, Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing training sessions.
