POSITION SUMMARY:
Armorer reports directly to Lead Warehouse/Munitions and will conduct basic Operator 10 level, Unit 20 level and Direct Support 30 level maintenance on APS-5 and tenant unit small arms. Equipment is brought up to full operational PMCS 10 / 20 & 30 level standards.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Service and repair US military firearms IAW TM’s.
Ensures all weapons and support equipment in storage are maintained in a high state of readiness.
Apply FAM’s, MAM’s, SOUM’s and MWO’s as required.
Inventory and order BII & AAL for all weapons as required.
Ensure and enforce all security requirements under AR 190-11 and other applicable security requirements.
Plan, prioritize and execute weapon repair missions in cooperation with maintenance supervisor and production control.
Conduct packing operations for outbound shipments as directed by the Logistics Manager or Supply Supervisor.
Properly document services performed.
Required to become familiar with all aspects of Army Regulations 190-11 (Physical Security) and TM 38-470.
Reports to Lead Warehouse/Munitions.
Coordinate and conduct packing and containerizing operations for outbound shipments.
Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.


MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Office Automation, special armorer tools, hand tools, pressure washer equipment, and material handling equipment (MHE), pallet jacks, power tools, company provided vehicles, GFE, GFP, and MHE (4K-20K and 6K variable reach all terrain).


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in a specialized and well equipped, air conditioned weapons repair lab / facility. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with exposure to extreme climatic conditions, heat, cold, sandstorm conditions.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head,
foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations
and published company work rules.
Individual will be required to execute temporary duty travel as required including but not limited to conferences and deployment exercises.
Must be able to interact well with fellow employees and maintain a clean living environment while living in shared housing.
May be required to work different shifts.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work will require lifting up to 60 lbs. climbing in and out of vehicles and prolonged standing. stooping, climbing, prolonged
standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential incident could exist for exposure to physical, chemical
or biological agents.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Must be a high school graduate, Associate Degree preferred but not required.
A valid US driver’s license is required, and be able to obtain Qatar Driver’s License.
Must have a valid certificate for either MOS school as stipulated above or current valid factory certifications.
Applicant for the Armorer position should have either a valid US Army MOS 45B, 91F OR USMC MOS 2111 certificate and listed on the DD214 OR hold valid current manufacturer (FN, Colt, Remington, and Browning) factory certifications on various weapon types including but not limited to US Military small arms.
Must have a valid certificate for either MOS schools as stipulated above.
Must have or able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance and the ability to acquire and maintain a CAC Card.
Local background checks are required for DA Form 7281-R.
Must be US citizen.
Must have valid US Passport.


Experience:
Applicant will have a minimum of 4 years “hands on” experience in the repair of US military small arms to include crew served weapons and small bore cannons of 120mm and below.
Applicant should be thoroughly familiar with US military Technical Manuals.
Custodian of Arms experience, 92Y Supply Specialist Weapons Training, “on the Job Training” and “hands on experience only” WILL NOT be deemed to meet the hiring criteria and will not be considered for employment.

Skills:
Office, Excel and Word applications as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Fluent in English as exemplified in writing and in verbal skills.

Clearance Level required at Start Date: Secret
