Senior Instructor Special Operations / EOD

Job Summary

Senior Instructor Special Operations/EOD personnel are either former Special Forces or EOD operators who shall serve as SME(s) on the TTPs, SOPs, and POIs of the TSGs and communicate and train both military and civilian personnel on these plans and procedures. The Senior Instructor Special Operations/EOD shall serve as the SME on TSG search equipment, communications systems, surveillance equipment, and other mission-essential gear. They shall operate specialized equipment on land, sea, and air during contingency operations, training and/or exercises. The Senior Instructor Special Operations/EOD provides training to military and/or civilian personnel on the setup and operation of search gear and communications equipment and directly support WMD search operations.

Principal Accountabilities
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all TSG TTPs, SOPs, and POIs and be able to communicate these plans and procedures to the TSG Team within 90 days of award of this contract.
Become an SME on all TSG search gear and communications equipment and provide training to military and/or civilian personnel on the setup and operation of this TSG search gear and communications equipment.
Develop and update TTPs, SOPs, and POIs for all TSG mission sets.
Establish lesson plans, training scenarios, and exercises for military and/or civilian personnel.
Provide tactical and technical guidance to TSG contractor personnel.
Ensure the Junior Instructor Special Operations and C/B Instructor Technician on his/her team are trained and deployment-ready.
Ensure established regulations, policies, and standards required to perform TSG mission are met and enforced.
Ensure the TSG trains by, and adheres to, SOPs, TTPs, and POIs.
Accountable for assigned Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Support the TSG team during tactical and operational planning.
Support military and/or civilian personnel during WMD search operations, up to and including tactical actions during the conduct of real-world operations.

Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated ability to manage and effectively lead teams in all operational and physical environments.
Ability to develop and implement suitable SOPs, TTPs, and POIs for tasks as operational capabilities evolve.
Possess advanced skills in surveillance/counter-surveillance techniques, advanced (tactical/defensive) driver training (desired), a minimum of Level 2 Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) qualified, or service school equivalent. This requirement may be waived on a case-by-case basis by the COR through a request submitted by the Contractor with explanations as to the viability of the candidate to perform the Senior Instructor duties without this ASOT training.
Former SOF Operator (e.g. Army Special Forces/Ranger, Air Force PJ/CCT, Marine Special Operations/Force Recon/EOD, Navy SEAL/Small Boat/EOD)
Military instructor experience. No less than 2 years’ experience as an instructor at a training command or in an operational unit’s training department.
Experienced in air operations.
Have a fundamental familiarity and understanding of small boat operations to include Small Boat, coxswain qualified, or civilian equivalent.
Experienced in land and maritime reconnaissance and surveillance operations.
Have a fundamental familiarity and understanding of CBRN Personal Protective.
Physically capable of working extended periods in self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Army Senior Leader Course or service school equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications

Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
Be proficient in computer utilization, graphics creation, editing, and word processing.
Be willing and able to accept worldwide deployments which include elements presenting risks to personal safety. Experience with Crisis Response Forces or Special Mission Units (desired).
Complete Core Reception and Integration training and TSG Critical Task List within 3 months of hire. The training includes tasks associated with WMD search operations, communications, mobility, surveillance, and force protection.
Execute worldwide travel in support of training, exercises, and operational support missions.
Obtain immunizations for worldwide travel and unique TSG mission requirements. Those not available commercially will be provided by the government.
Able to perform duties in all weather and climate conditions and be capable of carrying loads of up to 80 pounds over uneven terrain.
Willing and physically capable of performing various infiltration and exfiltration techniques (FRIES, SPIES, Ladders, etc.) as well as other urban and rural movement techniques in specialized equipment (climbing, rappelling, SCBA, etc.).
Capable of flying in utility helicopters for extended periods of time and be available for expeditious foreign travel for extended periods of time.
Physically and mentally qualified for deployment and performance of duties, to include tactical operations in austere, hostile environments. Annually, all TSG members must complete an Army Physical Fitness Test and score 270 or above for each individual’s specific age group, complete 10 pull-ups, and pass a Combat Water Survival Test (CWST).
Meet medical requirements to wear a protective mask in accordance with 29CFR1910.134.
Medically and physically qualified to perform contingency operations in support of assigned missions in accordance with DODI 3020.41, OPERATIONAL CONTRACT SUPPORT (OCS).
Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of assigned small arms (rifle and pistol) weapons for purposes of force protection and shall be able to qualify with the M9 pistol and M4 rifle in accordance with FM 3-23.35 and FM 3-22.9. Further, all contractor personnel shall comply with requirements IAW the Lautenberg Amendment.
Complete and maintain the Government-provided Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) training, to include use and wear of assigned NBC protective equipment.
Enrolled in the DTRA radiation safety program. This encompasses working with safety hazards, wearing of dosimeters, and radio-bioassay monitoring.
Current and certified to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic first aid.
Complete and maintain deployment qualifications as referenced in DoD Instruction 3020.41, Field Manual (FM) 7-22, and DTRA Deployment Readiness Guide for Contractors.
Complete and maintain DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP - DoD Instruction 8510.01) compliance, as applicable.
Complete DoD Cyber Awareness Training once upon arrival and annually thereafter.

Travel

Able to travel on short notice, work non-standard hours and take on-call duty.
Must possess a Current US issued tourist passport
