Job description
The Security Coordinator works at the direction and supervision of the Global Security Manager.


Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Security Coordinator is to assist the Global Security Manager with planning, coordination and administrative assistance related to all iMMAP security operations globally.

Additional responsibilities are:

•Tracking and scheduling of staff movements and updating of the internal calendar and staff movements overview; •Stand-by Partnership Program deployment assistance and follow up, to include:•iMMAP security review form •Registration of UN Field and Country Security Officers’ contact details / warden list •Follow up on UN Movement of Personnel applications and forms (MOPs; security clearance) •Follow up on deployee’s in-country contact detail forms •Follow up on arrival arrangements, procedures and accommodation •Initial follow up after deployment – security briefs conducted, etc. •Registration of Emergency Data forms complete and stored

•Assist with monitoring of security conditions in iMMAP project locations; •Maintain contact list of security Point of Contacts; •Updating of iMMAP Warden Lists; •Assist with Track24 monitoring, follow up and updates; •Follow up on Registration of Emergency Data forms; •Assist with updating Project Security Plans an Pre-deployment Security Briefs; •Assist with WatchKeeper entries; •Assist with HARM Business Development, Concept Notes and Proposals; •Populating and updating training register; •Contribute to the creation of a positive image and the overall credibility of iMMAP as a humanitarian organization, notably through the professional application of iMMAP’s Security Framework;

REPORTING •The consultant reports on a daily basis to the Global Security Manager;

Desired Skills and Experience

REQUIRED •Considerable practical experience in security roles; •A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in the safety and security sector of which at least 1 year in a high risk environment; •Familiarity with security procedures; •Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluency in English; •Ability to work well in a small team, operate under pressure, deliver high quality work within deadlines, and meet team objectives; •Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record Check; •If a previous member of Armed Forces or Police Service – honorable discharge papers;

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES •Ability to advise the Global Security Manager and establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, Project Managers and staff so as to reach common goals; •Proven ability and experience interacting with a wide range of International and humanitarian organizations, Host Government authorities and other stakeholders; •Demonstrated experience of working effectively with a team of international and national consultants; •Excellent communication skills in a cross-cultural environment.
