Regional Security Director

The role serve as a key advisor to the CEO, Crisis Leaders Council, each comprised of the business security and crisis leaders within the geographic area of responsibility, in meeting company–wide security and crisis management objectives.

Essential Responsibilities 
As a Regional Security Director, you are primarily required to follow the strategies outlined by the Sr. RSD for the whole of MENAT Region. Following shall be ensured and complied to manage and provide effective leadership for the Sub Region: Crisis Management & Business Continuity
•Proactively work on completing National / Site Crisis Management Plans, Site Emergency Response plans and work with Business Security Director to ensure Business Continuity Planning & Impact Preparedness is initiated and completed
•Proactively plan and ensure that threat based crisis management drills and table top exercises with other functions under the leadership of the Sub Region CEO are executed in an effective manner
•Devise plans for Emergency Notification Protocols and ensure that call trees are tested via the GE-Emergency Notification System
•Ensure that an Incident response strategy is implemented and tested in regular intervals
•Ensure that the Emergency Evacuation triggers are identified and an Evacuation plan for GE Staffs is always ready.

Travel Security & Journey Management
•Ensure Executive Protection protocols are in place that includes review of venues, accommodation, routes, & transport services as you will be required to conduct and manage of Executive Protection
•Ensure to carry out Hotel Risk Assessments to ensure delivering GE Security Approved Hotels and their transportation for GE staffs traveling across the Sub Region
•Ensure to work around with Security Vendors to arrange journey management for GE Staff in High Risk Locations
•Maintain and update Country Security Profiles for each quarter Physical Security & Risk Assessments
•Ensure vetting, monitoring, contracting & management of security service & systems vendors
providing Journey Management (including Meet & Greet & Security Escort), Hotel Secure
Transfers, Security Systems etc. for Sub Region
•Ensure to carry out Site Risk Assessments for new / existing GE / client sites in the Sub Region
•Lead Security Operations Centers across the Sub Region and identify where physical guarding is required
•Ensure that infrastructure designs that includes access controls systems, CCTV cameras, Physical Guard Force are in place, according to GE Standards in the Sub Region
•Ensure to identify and conduct Security Awareness Trainings for Site Security Leaders and GE Staffs as outlined through GE Global Security Policies and as outlined by the Sr. RSD

Intellectual Property / Data Loss Prevention (IP/DLP)
•Support / Run data analytics, investigations and provide support to IP Councils and the DataLoss Prevention Council (DLP).
•Ensure to partner with CISO/IT, Legal and HR for IP/DLP program implementation in the Sub Region
•Support of Compliance operating reviews Intelligence / Operations
•Liaison with local security apparatus, local security networks including embassies, and intelligence agencies in the Sub Region
•Work with the Region Regional Operations Centers (ROC) to monitor the environment and be provided with 1st hand information on fresh Incidents, latest and escalating threats. Kidnap & Recovery
•Ensure to act as an Operational / Tactical team for K&R Incident Management Strategic Team
•Conduct and Manage emergency response and become a liaison with the family
The role aims to protect the company and its reputation, its people and its assets from all security related hazards within the Sub Region in accordance with the GE Beliefs, Security Policies and its Operational Standards in a fluid security environment. Furthermore, this individual is a part of Region Sr. RSD’s operational and tactical team and should also be responsible for management and implementation of GE security and crisis management strategies outlined by the Sr. RSD in the Region which are surrounded by six major pillars of SCM.


Qualifications/Requirements 
• Extensive experience in managing and conducting security operations including physical security, investigations, personal protection and crisis management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results.
• Ability to use Power Point, Excel and related computer software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the Organization.
• Oral and written communication in English is essential.
• Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly.
• Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities.
• Effectively problem-solve and resolve a variety of issues and topics.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones
• Experience in law enforcement, security or intelligence for governmental agencies or major multi-national corporations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent. Concentration in management, criminal justice, law enforcement technology or similar field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in managing and conducting international security operations including physical security, investigations, personal protection and crisis management.
Desired Characteristics • Owns relationship with local, Regional law enforcement, safety forces, and Federal Agencies.
• Understanding of Security best practices.
• First Aid/First Responder Training.
• Understanding of Criminal laws and related legislation in Region.
