Armor Range Operations Trainer serves as the Platoon SME as part of the WSTC-KU Udairi Range Support Team.
Serves as mentor and trainer for a Task Force-level platoon providing support in the planning and execution of Unified Land Operations and Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises and assisting units with planning and development that supporting the training objectives, to include scenarios and orders; assists as required with preparation and execution.
Maintains currency in order to support Unified Land Operations.
Prepared to conduct Company-level training across the Unified Land Operations.
Responsible to teach, coach and mentor an Armor platoon.
Provide training support to the company through squad battle drills, platoon battle tasks, Company Situational Training Exercises (STX), Company Live Fire Exercises (LFX) to support Battalion Level Unified Land Operations.
Assists with development of realistic Unified Land Operations and Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises.
Responsible for the execution of a formal training and certification program, including ULO tasks.
Mission analysis and troop-leading procedures (TLP) and issuance of operation orders for company tactical operations.
Full knowledge of training strategies to support Platoon training objectives.
Fully knowledgeable in regards to weapon systems assigned to the unit.
Fully capable of applying troop leading procedures.
Display comprehensive understanding of unit training management.
Perform additional duties as prescribed by the Senior Range Operations Manager.

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires demonstrated work experience as it relates to the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined in the description of the duties.
Former Combat Arms/Operations with a strong tactical background in Unified Land Operations.
Thorough knowledge of current Army doctrine, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
HBCT/CAV background preferred or qualified through like experience as determined by the Site / Exercise Support Manager.
Must have a Secret Clearance.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
May require additional specialized experience and/or previous military service in the fields of IN, FA, AR, EN, SF, or other qualifying like experience as determined by the Site / Exercise Support Manager.
Prefer additional skills / experience in Scout, Mortar, Sniper, Artillery, or Master Gunner.
Prefer former CSM / CPT or above Army/USMC.
Prior assignment to a maneuver CTC as an Observer/Controller or extensive CTC experience as BLUFOR/OPFOR.
CTC experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of the military decision making process (MDMP).
