Overview 
Wilson Security is seeking an experienced Security Manager to assume functional responsibility and accountability for overseeing the operation and performance of an Offshore site held within the Wilson Security portfolio. The role reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing a combined expatriate and localised workforce to deliver specialised security services.

The Role
The Security Manager is responsible for the financial and operational management, leadership and compliance of the offshore business in accordance with contractual, procedural, legislative, and company requirements, within a continuous improvement framework. This role is the link between the Senior Leadership Team and the operational service delivery and is accountable for the management of contract change proposals, variations and close out activities. This role is also responsible for identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risk, developing the Operation through implementing strategic plans, developing innovative processes and procedures, establishing and driving performance management processes, and providing employee leadership to achieve contract deliverables.

This is a shared ‘back-to-back’ role and counterparts are accountable for working closely through planning, setting goals and communicating effectively to ensure seamless and consistent leadership, financial control and operational service delivery. The position will be fly in fly out (FIFO) on a two week rotating roster and will require both domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will operate in a back to back structure with our current Security Manager. It is possible that the role will involve extended periods away from home with limited connectivity for communication.
The purpose is to provide visible leadership, direction and issue resolution at all levels of service; ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level. The position is an important conduit for information, reporting and implementation of direction to and from the Operations Team, Clients and Site Personnel.

Responsibilities will include and are not limited to:
Providing leadership - setting appropriate staff objectives and clear communication

Setting clear and refined reporting structures to all required personnel

Supporting security staff with relation to matters of underperformance and leadership

Participating in regular meetings with the Management team to review group performance and set action plans

Implementing and monitoring management of overheads such as resourcing and labour utilisation

Identifying and delivering training requirements

Managing performance of client sites with regard to KPI’s and budgetary requirements

Analysing and planning for future client sites

Reporting – providing advice and recommendation on OH&S, Audits and other required reporting analysis


REQUIREMENTS
· 5+ years’ experience in a management and leadership role;
· Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, standards, procedures and external reviews relating to immigration in Australia and relevant International jurisdictions;
· Demonstrated experience and working with sensitive and confidential information;
· Demonstrated experience in the use of electronic information management systems;
· Sound level of computer literacy is essential;
· Experience in the management of emergency situations will be highly regarded;
· Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management is essential;
· First Aid Certificate is essential; and
· Degree level qualifications in Business, Management, Law or equivalent will be highly regarded.
· Experience managing a P&L will be highly regarded
