Job Introduction:
The individual is responsible for the design and implementation of a formal internal Iraq intelligence information line.
The role will include the collection, collation, analysis and distribution of intelligence information, including the analysis of TTPs and trends.
In addition, verbal and visual presentations to clients necessitating an overview, analysis and prognosis based on country/regional activity.
Role Responsibility:
Successful applicant must have the ability to advise the G4S Iraq management teams on all general and specific aspects of security in Iraq through:
Collection, collation, analysis, interpretation, validation and reporting on information gathered in Iraq and elsewhere, providing the basis on which the management clients may make practical decisions regarding physical and commercial security.
Using client and locally developed information sources.
Where appropriate, liaising with other external private and public security agencies involved in assuring risk management plans.
Evaluating the reliability of sources and credibility of information.
Building up intelligence pictures and identifying potential sources and targets.
Delivering information in formal reports (daily/weekly) or as presentations and desk-level briefings.
Drafting and implementing appropriately structured plans and processes.
Close liaison with the Baghdad and Basra management teams.
Developing relationships with customers to understand their intelligence requirements in conjunction with the Business Development Managers.
The delivery of regular risk and security briefings to the business (internal) & clients (external) as appropriate.
Regularly updating in-country management on any client requirements (specific to deliverables) and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Functioning as the in-country point of contact for any K&R issues and liaising as appropriate to ensure all staff are aware and current in approved K&R practices.
Brief and update new arrivals and existing employees on intelligence issues as appropriate.
Liaise with G4S Risk Management Global Intelligence System personnel on relevant country information.
Ability to manage all deliverables to time and to satisfaction
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience
Essential
Minimum of 5 years in the Military Intelligence community or OGD.
Comfortable working in a hostile environment.
Desirable:
Arabic speaking/reading.
Previous experience of working in Intelligence operations in Iraq.
Commercial field experience in security
Previous experience of the Security and Oil and Gas Industry is desirable.
Skills and abilities
The ability to collect, collate, analyse and interpret information from a wide variety of sources.
The ability to communicate effectively and coherently in written and verbal form and at all levels of an organisation with demonstrable ease and confidence.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the security industry, the threats posed to western entities and personnel in hostile environments and the measures and processes which can be implemented in order to mitigate against them.
Able to present and brief confidently & credibly.
Ability to perform under pressure and to strict timelines and milestones with regular interaction at senior management level, co-ordinating a programme of set deliverables through an appropriately structured variety of means that include programming, presentation, detailed written reports/plans and physical example.
The ability to think and plan at the strategic and operational level within the immediate environment and to communicate ideas for the effective tactical execution of those plans.
The ability to fully utilise ICT specifically all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word & Power Point).
