We now invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for this temp Armourer role on both Aegis & GardaWorld projects in Iraq & Kurdistan starting approx 01 April 2016 - subject to confirmation
Job specification: Armourer (Temporary only)
Subject to successful completion of all documentation and medical checks /confirmation
Daily Rate
Aegis will offer competitive day rate, Contractor will not be reimbursed whilst off-duty *Some tax may be payable locally to those hired in Iraq on non-US Government contracts.
Rotation
None – duration of task is approximately 11 weeks (to include travel time between locations)
Duration of Task
None – temporary assignment only – as above, subject to confirmation by Aegis/Gardaworld
Travel Pay
Travel pay none is offered. The first day of pay is the day of your arrival in Theatre. Your last day of pay is the day of your departure from Theatre.
Package
Aegis will provide the Independent Contractor with housing, food and transportation while you are in Theatre along with insurances
Flight Package
The Hub Airport designated by the Company. Aegis BVI will provide economy class flights (subject to availability) to and from the Consultant’s designated International Hub Airport for each leave rotation.
(The cost of travel to the Aegis London Office or to the departure point for deployment is your responsibility and therefore not chargeable to the Company. Similarly on return from a project all travel costs from the designated entry point of arrival in your home country are your responsibility)
Hiring Criteria
Must be a qualified weapons armourer, preferably Ex British Military Artificer Weapons or equivalent.
Must be familiar with Glock 9mm, Colt M4/16 system, AK47/74, Zastava and M21
Must have an excellent knowledge of weaponry with a good understanding of PSC operations.
Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel; be capable of working in isolation for periods of time.
Function with minimum supervision; be resilient under pressure, capable of working with senior management and subordinates in a variety of situations.
Must be highly motivated and be able to work towards targeted deadlines, making maximum use of the resources available.

Job Duties
Inspect, service and repair weapons in the areas highlighted
Provide a weapon inspection report weapon, highlighting the overall condition.
Provide guidance on weapon maintenance policy.
