Description
Direct and supervise the correct implementation of Head office, DC security and safety programmes to include:
Oversee physical security of the Nestlé Head Office, Factories and Operating Companies;
Access control, technical security, emergency planning and the guard force;
Oversee the security arrangements for high level meetings at Equatorial African Region Head Office and Operating Companies;
Assist the Zone Security Manager in encouraging personal security awareness among the entire Nestlé workforce;
Responsible to give a security briefing to new employees whether independently or in cooperation with the Zone Security Manager.
Responsibility for day-to-day supervision of any external security guarding company. This will include providing data on the performance of the external guarding company, to enable the monitoring of the Service Level Agreement between the guarding company and Nestlé.
Project Management:
Oversee the development of security standards for the Head Office buildings and advise on and ensure conformity with NGS (Nestlé Group Security) security best practices and standard operating procedures;
Work in close coordination with local law enforcement and intelligence agencies and assist in the delivery of and providing business support, to ensure delivery of end-to-end service;
Bring to the attention of the Zone Security Manager any local projects that may have security implications;
Coordinate the inputs for different security related projects.
Act as the coordinator for crisis management and disaster management.
Organizational Efficiencies:
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across all areas of security, when required;
Pioneer changes to the current working structure of guard force, where necessary, and develop clear lines of communication;
Work in close coordination with the other branches in Equatorial Africa Region & Operating Companies to ensure coordination in policy implementation, security awareness and investigative issues;
Responsible for ensuring the practical implementation and day-to-day observance of best security practices after their introduction into the facility’s operations;
Production of monthly report for the Zone Security Manager, informing him of any security issues or the absence thereof. The report should also quantify any identifiable savings that have resulted from the introduction of best security practices.
Ensure that losses due to fraud and theft as well as any security-related incidents are promptly and fully reported to the Zone Security Manager. You will also ensure that any agreed counter-measures are put in place, in accordance with Best Practice Guidelines.
Assist the Zone Security Manager in enhancing profitability by reducing losses through implementation of Group Best Security Practices.
To assist the Zone Security Manager in producing and updating risk and threat assessments relating to the facility, to provide early warning of local problems that may affect Nestlé’s operations.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum skills and competencies;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Security Management or related course from a recognized university;
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a security professional in the FMCG sector;
Demonstrable experience of managing security issues on a regional scale;
Familiar with data consolidation methods, accurate reporting and administrative efficiency;
A well-developed network of personal contacts at senior level in law enforcement, government and security agencies;
Result focused, courageous and service-oriented individual;
