To build up UL’s Brand Protection and Security business we are looking for: Security Manager
(Previous military, law enforcement, or corporate experience preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the internal consultation of security solutions. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in security and will carry out security/risk assessments for the organization. Has the ability to generate and interpret security metrics to demonstrate how UL manages and deals with security incidents, which includes investigations and interactions with internal and external stakeholders. The role will necessitate significant International travel.
Acts as a key point of contact for security related programs in specific region including on-site audits of UL’s facilities, security assessments, construction projects and investigations.
Generates and interprets security metrics to demonstrate how UL manages and deals with security incidents with external and internal stakeholders.
Acts as an advisor to security program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Develops relationships to ensure collaboration to aid in the creation of a security awareness culture within UL.
Performs other duties as directed.
Desired Skills and Experience
Job Requirements:
University Degree plus generally eight years of experience in security field or in a related area.
Previous military, law enforcement, or corporate experience preferred, but not essential.
Familiarity with a variety of the security concepts, practices, and procedures.
Up-to-date knowledge of security equipment and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate customer meetings, negotiate and influence outcomes.
Strong program/project management to manager projects and meet deadlines while maintain high quality.
Requires a great deal of flexibility and will be required to be available to deal with matters as they arise and will be required to travel extensively.
Requires investigative skills and strong, clear and concise report writing skills.
