External Digital Security Training Auditor

IWPR is seeking independent consultants with digital security experience for ad hoc assignments to assist our ongoing digital security projects in the Middle East. Fluency in Arabic is a requirement. Wherever possible, auditors will be required to travel to client locations in the Middle East.

Duties & Responsibilities
Create a digital security audit process for civil society organisations (CSOs) with which IWPR works in the Middle East;
Meet with key stakeholders across IWPR and CSOs, preferably on site, to discuss current security standards;
Inspect and document CSOs’ current digital security policies and plan and suggest changes where necessary;
Distribute proposed policies to managers and IWPR;
Assess current risks and create steps to secure vulnerable systems;
Interview employees to assess current digital security procedures;
Create tests for IT personnel to evaluate CSOs’ skill sets in the area of digital security;
Provide written and verbal reports on the findings of the security audit;
Produce a document collating the results of the security audit for IWPR and CSOs;
Develop best practices for security procedures;
Train staff in these security procedures.

Requirements
Five or more years’ experience in the digital security sector;
Experience of conducting audits on or related to digital security;
Experience of delivering training courses;
Experience of conducting interviews;
Risk assessment skills;
Ability to manage workloads and adhere to deadlines.
