The role
The aim of this job is to enhance the capacity of individuals and organisations operating in the Humanitarian Sector. You are at the forefront of this as a training coordinator. You will design and deliver events in the European Open programme as well Tailor Made services. You will take primary responsibility for our Security Learning and Development services. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop our portfolio based on the needs of the sector. You will combine creativity with rigour as you maintain the quality and effectiveness of what we do.

Person specification
Essential
Knowledge and experience of security management within INGOs
Experience and understanding of training delivery and methodologies
Experience of evaluation of training programmes and assessment of learning

Experience and understanding of one or more of the following areas of work within the humanitarian sector – security management, general humanitarian practices and principles, and technical activities such as shelter, logistics, water and sanitation etc
Effective workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems
Experience of budgeting and budget management.
Proven experience of identifying, contracting and managing consultants
Ability to represent the organisation externally and to develop networks
An entrepreneurial approach to developing effective relationships with other organisations and an ability to manage contracts
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Computer literacy in MS Office
Willingness and ability to undertake travel internationally to often insecure and difficult environments at short notice and for periods up to 6 weeks

Desirable
Direct and recent experience in field Humanitarian operations – preferably 2 years living and working in insecure environments.
Fluency in another language other than English
