Role
Manage all security operations for Weatherford in Southern Iraq. Reporting to the Country Manager South Iraq, working from Weatherford Rumaila Base with a Southern Iraq remit. You will work on a back-to-back basis with a second Country Security Manager, Iraq South to maintain continuity.

ResponsibilitiesPrime responsibility is to protect and secure all Weatherford personnel and resources within Iraq South, in order to enable and allow commercial activities to proceed with the greatest expediency with minimal impact from the environment.

Secondary responsibility is to monitor and maintain the value proposition for Weatherford security services, with the guiding principle of ‘adequate cover - minimum cost’.
Activities
Ensure Weatherford security policies; inclusive of Minimum Operating Security Standards (MOSS) HRAP; MRAP; LRAP and Board of Director (BOD) guidelines pertaining to 3rdParty Security Assessment Provider forms are adhered to in conjunction with client security policies and stipulations in order to provide a secure working and living environment for all Weatherford employees and any other person that falls under Weatherford’s remit for duty of care.

Provide direction and oversight on all 3rdParty security provider WFT Agreements and projects within Southern Iraq, ensuring they are compliant to WFT security minimum standards at all times.


Conduct audits and physical security reviews of all Weatherford locations, including but not limited to; rig sites, non-rig sites, base camps and construction sites. Provide a written report to the Country Manager with observations, recommendations and action points (risk treatments) and then follow up on action points via a risk register, once corrective measures have been approved.


Conduct audits on Security Provider policies and procedures, ensuring all documentation is current and in place.


Authority to Release (ATL) signatory for Southern Iraq for Security Function via recommendations via Site Security Vulnerability Assessment (SSVA). Monitor and action the utilisation of security assets and manpower in order to ensure the accuracy of invoices submitted and that the most cost effective measures are in place. Carry out a rolling review of assets and manpower in order to try and meet financial targets whilst still maintaining the security minimum standards.


Initiate WPTs and follow through to completion for all Security Incidents in South Iraq.


Provide Security Scope of Works (SOW) inclusive of security pricing within the localised environment in liaison with Supply and Legal for Southern Iraq Contracts/Agreements/Task Orders/POs.


Provide Security costs for South Iraq Tenders in liaison with WFT Commercial as requested via local 3rdparty security providers.


Assist the CM and PL Management with the Country Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP) by ground proofing and advising on any improvements or modifications that may enhance it. Also ensuring that the CM has a current and accurate ground picture, as the dynamics of a project may dictate in order for the EEP to be updated if required.


Continually develop and update WFT suite of Security documentation in line with WFT Minimal Operating Security Standards (MOSS) and 3rdParty Security Assessment Provider forms as part of DD process; Director Global Security directives inclusive of: Country Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP), Security Emergency Response Plan (SERP), Country Security Plan (CSP), Country Security Risk Assessment (CSRA) , Risk Matrix, Risk Treatments, Risk Registers, Hotel Security Assessments (HSA), Country Security Induction inclusive of Meet & Greet procedures, Residence Security Assessment (RSA) and implement and drive Local Emergency Response Plans (LERP) at all base sites.


Manage and provide advice to Security incident management as and when required as part of LERT.


Manage WFT Security Project Managers (Expat/LN) and/or WFT Security Co-ordinators (LN) and /or WFT Field Security Liaison Advisors, and ensure that they operating effectively with a direct and regular formatted report.


Liaise directly with client security managers building effective working relationships ensuring clarity of requirements and maintaining standards to client requirements in conjunction with bridging security/HSE documents if applicable.


Assess and quantify security requirements in conjunction with the product line/project managers and the security provider and then submit to CM for further action and approval.


Assist the Regional Security Manager (RSM-MENA) in any security related matters and tasks as and when required ensuring security issues are highlighted immediately.


Manage sub-contractors and their security provisions


Interface with CM to PL management.19.Monitor and adhere to concession, provincial and Iraq country-wide security legislation.


Assist and support security operations in Southern Iraq as required
