Job Summary

The Transport Personal Security Team (PST) Member is responsible for foreign based-mobile and static security operations under the direction of the PST Lead. PST Member performs and maintains a high level of professionalism and skill levels as he/she is responsible for the personal protection of DynCorp International (DI) personnel, all senior-level visiting DI personnel and all other principles. The PST Member assists as required in the education and enforcement of security policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure a high standard of mission accomplishment.

Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Responsible for the safe operation of all assigned protective transportation of principles to ensure
their safety, including mobile, air and static missions.
Utilize special weapons and tactics to ensure a high level of mission success.
Conduct protective formation positions daily.
Conduct advanced security reconnaissance of projected routes.
Conduct static security assignments when directed.
Pursue continuous training and development to ensure and maintain a high level of expertise and professionalism.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the assigned area by DI personnel.
Provide deterrence against the commission of wrongful and unsafe acts, unauthorized and / or illegal activities, including potentially life threatening activities and protection of information.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, accountability and care of all company issued equipment.
Efficient in performing all positions within the team whilst on missions including driving, SAW gunner, shooter and shift lead when required.
Maintain comprehensive records of all mission assignments.
Prepared to work on a daily basis in extreme harsh conditions and a hostile environment.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to complete all tasks and assignments in a timely and professional manner.
Excellent communication with persons at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of DI Personal Security Detail/Civilian Protection (PSD/CP) security policies and SOP.
Ability to communicate in the English language.
Ability to conduct both static and mobile PSD/CP operations.
Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms and crew-served weapons used in support of operations.
Ability to operate motor vehicles of various weights and size in a tactical manner both on and off-road.
Ability to pass a background investigation.
Able to present a clean and professional appearance.

Experience & Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Five (5) or more years of military, law enforcement and/or PSD/Mobile Security experience.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a high-threat environment, preferably the Middle East Area of Operations (AO)
Minimum of one (1) year experience in PSD/Mobile Security in a high-threat environment, preferably the Middle East AO.
Must be a native born citizen of a NATO member, partner, or contributor country.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.

Travel
Travel between assigned locations.

Qualifications
Must have obtained a weapons certification within the last 10 years
Candidates must be able to pass both weapons qualifications and physical fitness course: The minimum standards are:
Endurance Run completed in 2:30 (two minutes and thirty seconds)
Obstacle Course completed in 2:00 (two minutes)
M-4 qualifications scoring a minimum of 240 points on the approved DSS qualification standards
M-9 qualifications scoring a minimum of 400 points on the approved DSS qualification standards
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle
This position requires the individual to be able to pass a hearing test and to have 20/20 corrected vision
