Job Description
The role requires the consultant to quickly understand the internal and external context of the client project or business and conduct security risk assessment to prioritise risk treatment. The consultant will
also be required to review, update and enhance the policies, procedures and tools through which SRM is conducted within the client organisation.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate and assess security risks to client organisation’s people and assets.
Assess and prioritise security risks using calibrated (semi-quantitative methods) scale.
Develop SRM related process flow diagrams and outline security responsibilities.
Create risk treatment plans.
Review, update and enhance security policies, procedures and tools
Design and conduct training to ensure the adherence to security procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities
Recognize and communicate opportunities to sell further consulting work and products and services from other companies within the group,
Maintain EI professional standards, promote EI brand and reputation.
Essential Criteria
Five years’ experience providing security risk management to organisations operating in high risk security environments.
Previous management experience in corporate security or a related professional field (military, police, intelligence).
Experience delivering security and crisis management training.
Desirable Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Security, Risk Management,
Intelligence).
Physical security qualifications.
Practical experience of conducting security risk management consultancy within the Middle East or Africa.
Competencies
Understand, utilise and explain SRM methodology,
Demonstrable ability to create high-quality written documents,
Ability to understand, define and communicate complex client requirements,
Able to verbally communicate complex ideas concisely,
Able to brief senior management on critical security risks,
Strong IT skills esp. Excel, Word, PPT, and presentation skills,
Motivated by meeting client needs, service-oriented personality,
Experienced in project planning (Time, Quality, Budget management)
Sound understanding of the political and socio-economic context of security risks.
Location: Variable
Remuneration: Negotiable according to experience and location.
