Security Manager

The Security Manager will ensure effective duty levels of the security personnel in line with the SOPs, managing shift changes and deficiencies.
The Security Manager must ensure that they administrate all security personnel in regard to any absence or unavailability due to vacation, injury, illness or leave on compassionate grounds, maintaining the fully required manning levels in line with expected standards.
He will ensure the tracking and monitoring of personnel and work activities.
He will ensure effective control of access to, egress through and exit from office complexes.

The Security Manager will ensure that all Jacobs’ personnel, visitors and sub-contractors conduct is within the law and in line with policies and procedures.

The Security Manager is to assist other departments where requested and in line with their roles & responsibilities especially in case of an incident such as emergency evacuation due to fire, or in the case of medical emergency.
At all times the Security Manager will set an example.
He must ensure the dissemination of operational requirements and standards in relation to their security elements and where appropriate, Jacobs personnel.
He will ensure all Jacobs personnel, visitors and sub-contractors are kept abreast of any changes in risks, or threat concerns, as well as changes in security protocols resulting from such elevation or decreasing of threats as appropriate to SOP requirements.
The Security Manager will ensure that all visitors and new arrivals are made aware of security requirements, protocols and risk concerns through the induction process.

Ensuring the provision of identification (ID) Cards to all sub-contractors and visitors.
Ensuring the maintenance and update of all security-associated plans, procedures and actions.
Making sure documents are secured, stored controlled and access appropriately and in line with Jacobs information policies.
Processes time card for security personnel on a weekly basis by approval.
Fulfilling HR requirements in the process of security personnel’s leave applications, travel and sick leave.

10-15 years of relative work experience.
Former Military / Police background.
Minimum 5 years Supervisory role.
Computer literate with Word and Excel.
