Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Loss Prevention & Safety, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Assigning and supervising the daily operations of the Department
Assisting with recruiting, training and developing team; includes performance evaluations
Assisting with maintaining and processing all 'hard key' requests from other departments, and managing the key files
Assisting with maintenance of alarms internal/external, and surveillance equipment, fire and life saving equipment and reporting defects immediately
Assisting with maintaining integrity of Lost and Found Items, and disposal of such items in accordance with the hotel's policy
Assisting with fire drills, and general evacuation procedures and the subsequent training in these disciplines; maintain equipment
Assisting with general maintenance and updating of all security files, radio distribution
Enforcing and following department policies, procedures and service standards as well as all Health and Safety policies
Enhancing job knowledge: participating in educational opportunities, reading related publications etc.
Other related duties
3 years related experience with a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
Knowledge of alarm and fire systems, security and health and safety procedures and practices etc.
Valid driver’s licence (Heavy Truck)
Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, teamwork, observation and problem solving skills
Proven guest service skills
Must be alert, accountable, reliable and flexible
Proficient with MS Office Suite of applications required
