Job Description:
The Security Coordinator ensures that all relevant data and information is coordinated and communicated within the department and the hotel, administrative duties of the Security department are completed in a professional, discreet and timely manner.
General Responsibilities Include:
Manages and coordinates security operation ensuring that security procedures are implemented and followed as per the standards operating procedures.
Coordinates and updates emergency contact list (Emergency Response Team ERT).
Produces monthly and quarterly reports and audits (Confidential Security Report CRS), Loss Control Committee presentation, Key card audit, Staff Locker audit, Lost and Found monthly audits.
Works closely with Director of Security developing an effective security plan to support projects and operational activities.
Monitors tracking systems for incident logs and daily handover
Maintains up to date comprehensive filling and security systems
Ensures correspondence is filed on a daily basis and old files cleared out
Maintains and updates the Safety Awareness board
Liaises with department heads in all aspects in relation to Security operation
Communicates new or amended procedures to relevant departments
Skills / Knowledge Required:
Computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Office Programs
Excellent overall communication skills
Ability to multi task and work under pressure
Good administrative, time management and prioritization skills
Experience: Needs to have a minimum of one year working experience in Security/Administration. Accustomed to handling customer complaints/investigation of varying severity
Licenses or Certificates: Completed secondary school education or equivalent hotel-related education
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
