Security & AIT Enforcement Manager GCC

Job description
This is a challenging role, requiring strong engagement and influencing skills to establish appropriate security mitigation. GCC SM is expected to meet the demands for delivery of effective, integrated security, which may entail working extended hours during weekdays, weekends and holidays and could involve short notice travel requirements.

Operational/Technical/Professional Results

Ensure that relevant threats are effectively identified, monitored, assessed and communicated to the business, to underpin BAT’s security risk management programme in the GCC markets.
Carry out proactive security risk assessments and surveys, to ensure that risks to people, infrastructure, assets and operations are properly identified, assessed and mitigated. All mitigation should respect the principle that measures designed are commensurate with assessed risk.
Design, develop and implement effective local plans, policies & procedures to ensure cost-effective mitigation of risks.
Identify security risks to the Primary Supply Chain that delivers product into GCC markets, proposing and helping to implement appropriate measures for visibility, tracking and mitigation of disruption in that supply chain, as required.
Ensure all staff and visitors have timely briefings and/or training on business and information security, and on personal security and emergency procedures, within the Security Education, Awareness & Training programme.
Conduct security surveys on hotels used in the GCC markets, to ensure they have security commensurate with the threat environment prevailing in each market.
Provide security advice, planning and support during corporate events and important market visits.
Conduct objective enquiries and investigations into security and loss incidents & breaches by determining facts, understanding vulnerability and drawing appropriate, supportable conclusions, to make recommendations that will help to prevent recurrence.
Ensure that security and business continuity issues are identified and treated during the planning and execution stages of significant business projects and initiatives across the markets.
Coordinate and facilitate our Business Continuity & Crisis Management programme, supporting the business in the development, implementation and embedding of an effective, integrated and holistic BC capability to ensure timely response and recovery of business operations in the event of any significant disruption.
Work closely with the Area Security team in a collaborative manner to enable mutual learning, sharing and implementation of security best practices and initiatives in a consistent manner across Middle East Area.

Essential requirements
Competent security management professional of Middle Eastern origin.
Five years’ experience, with at least three years in managerial and/or command roles. Service in the disciplined forces is a valuable attribute.
Minimum of three years’ security management experience in a large organisation (ideally multinational business).
Strong capacity in monitoring the threat environment, drawing appropriate insights to inform effective security plans
Sound capability in assessing threats and risks, able to provide objective assessment to the business.
Confident in producing timely, accurate, clear and concise written and verbal security reports and reviews.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven aptitude for effective teamwork.
Excellent communication skills in written and oral English and ideally a native Arabic speaker.
Highest levels of personal integrity, working with confidentiality and discretion on sensitive matters.
Confident use of business information and communications technology and the related applications .
Strong engagement skills, able to build a network and interact effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
Educated to degree level, ideally in a risk-related discipline, but formal studies in security, risk and/or safety essential.
