The Regional Security Manager (RSM) is part of the Global Security & Resiliency team and has geographical responsibility for Latin America. The RSM is tasked with a leadership role on security matters in their geographic and program areas, developing creative approaches to implementing core security strategies to meet the internal clients’ business needs and serves as a key resource to them and to Global Security leadership.

Responsibilities
 Responsible for protecting the company's global assets and interests which include people, products, property/operations, brand and intellectual property (IP). Principal activities include, but are not limited to the following:
Working with HP business and functional groups, designs, develops, implements and administers cost-effective, pro-active security programs and services. Encompasses physical security and systems, risk analysis, large event security, travel security, executive protection, investigations, contingency planning and crisis management response. Includes analysis, design, audit, training and reporting related to these programs and services.
Leads security-related communications, promotes security awareness, designs and maintains communications channels to facilitate the distribution of time-sensitive security information.
Maintain liaison with local, national and international law enforcement, governmental security and intelligence agencies, industry organizations, and relevant organizations and individuals, to collect information relating to the security of HP assets and interests.
Continually assesses and aligns security resources with risks.
Manages 3rd party vendors budgets and under the supervision of region or program leadership; assures security staff is trained to HP requirements.
Collaborates with partners, customers, suppliers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and at varying levels within the corporate structure; Establishes and maintains seamless relationships to assure alignment with regional security strategy.
Contributes to regional solutions and strategies, ranging from team efforts to independent, self-motivated efforts


Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Undergraduate degree in a security-related field of study desired, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant, diverse experience in security management, program management and business processes. Must include corporate experience and operational management of multiple security disciplines (e.g., operations, executive protection, systems, crisis management, travel security, etc.). Law enforcement or military experience is a plus.
Excellent/fluent written and spoken English, Portuguese and Spanish language skills are required.
Adept in using MS Office Suite and other personal productivity tools.
Sound, ethical judgment required.
Superior ability to use security systems and applications.
Demonstrated ability to provide executive security within their region.
Advanced analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions.
Knowledge of criminal and civil procedure as it relates to evidence, privacy, interviewing, breach of contract, fraud, supply chain and intellectual property protection.
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations.
Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting. Proven “customer service” and relationship management skills.
Advanced project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation.
Developed business and financial acumen.
Established range of professional contacts. Familiar with the range of professional security literature.
Practical knowledge of travel security and the current geo-political and security environment across the geographical areas of responsibility.
