As part of HERE Security, Privacy and Continuity (SPC) team your responsibility would be to ensure that HERE has adequate technical and operational security measures to protect its office facilities and to ensure that applicable health and safety requirements are met at the sites and related operational capabilities are in place in co-operation with Human Resources and Workplace Resources(WR).

You are required to constantly monitor and be aware of the latest key developments in the area of physical security, relevant regulations and 3rd party requirements.You will have to evaluate their impact on HERE site security services in operation or under consideration

Key Responsibilities
Establish and implement effective, predictable and measurable policies and processes for HERE physical site security.
Act as single point of contact for HERE Site leaders in any questions, issues and concerns related to sites they manage.
Manage and coordinate daily physical security operations provided by HERE employees or security subcontractors at HERE sites.
Lead design, development and implementation of solutions for physical security system installations, upgrades, repairs and change-outs.
Ensure integration with HERE HR IT and other relevant systems to automate basic physical security tasks such as new employee onboarding or termination of employment.
Manage electronic physical security system projects and related budgets as part of SPC team.
Build and deploy training programs for all users of physical access control and CCTV systems.
Research, develop, design and test a variety of equipment, components, products and systems with the goal of fully optimizing and leveraging technical security investments. Supervise the administration and management of HERE access control enterprise software such as C-Cure and Lenel.
Manage and negotiate contracts with security system vendors and integrators.
Manage and oversee physical security aspects in supplier management – e.g. conducting audits and risk assessments of suppliers.
Support HERE certification efforts (such as ISO 9001 and 27001) and other relevant audits.
Together with HERE Business Continuity Management team ensure adequate site plans are established and tested on agreed schedule.
As needed act as a subject matter resource for HERE SPC Incident response team to ensure efficient incident resolution.
Research, propose and lead implementation of new physical security technologies to improve efficiency while reducing operating costs.
Together with HERE HR and WR teams ensure sites have adequate health and safety plans in place with staff nominated to required roles.
Manage and oversee security and secure disposal of HERE office equipment such as phones, printers, copiers and faxes.
Manage and oversee secure disposal of classified documents.

Desired Skills and Experience
Expertise/Skills Required

BSc or higher degree in Security Management, or equivalent experience
Relevant work experience in physical site security 5+ years
Strong knowledge of information security principles, best practices, architectures, tools and processes
Experience in defining and writing policies, standards, procedures and guidelines
Knowledge of relevant information security standards e.g. ISO 27001
Knowledge of access control enterprise software such as C-Cure and Lenel is important
Ability to understand business drivers and priorities, and integrate these requirements into overall security design
Ability to work independently in a global team and as a team member with minimal direction
Ability & willingness to work in international and multi-cultural virtual teams, identify the needed/missing capabilities and contribute in Business Continuity Management, physical security training, awareness and competence development by creating and maintaining a security community in HERE.

Expertise/Skills Preferred
Professional physical security certifications like ASIS CPP, PCI, PSP are definitively a plus
Professional information security certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer or similar are a plus
Experience with ISO 27001 standard implementation is a plus.

Location The position will be based in Berlin (Germany) or Chicago (USA). International travel expected as part of the role.
