Anti-Illicit Trade and Marketing Security Manager

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Security & Anti-Illicit Trade (AIT), the AIT and Marketing Security Manager will lead the AIT effort for East & Central Area (ECAA) and ensure that security threats to marketing activities are properly assessed and risks managed.

Key Deliverables
Drive the intelligence-led AIT agenda, coordinating the design and implementation of carefully devised strategies in close partnership with all other Functions.
Manage all AIT operations, coordinating the work of the respective Security & AIT Managers and service providers to optimise synergy during investigations and enforcement actions.
Ensure the provision of timely, high quality, comprehensive AIT briefings, reporting and documentation such as Illicit Trade Threat Assessments and Market Action Plans. Manage the review of such reports in line with business changes and requirements and as the nature of the illicit trade picture develops.

In accordance with the engagement agenda, build and maintain positive relationships with both key external agencies such as Revenue Authorities and with internal stakeholders.
Ensure that AIT best practices are applied, to include all aspects of measurement and reporting of IT incidence, collection and management of intelligence, conduct of investigations and enforcement actions.
Ensure the security risk management process is effectively embedded in support of marketing activities.
Develop, execute and update marketing security plans, standards and processes, including security risk assessments, tools, documents and a security, education, awareness and training programme.
Deliver security reports and briefings to provide decision support intelligence and security advice to marketing management and other stakeholders.
Facilitate and coordinate Business Continuity and Crisis Management for the marketing teams, coordinating the development and/or maintenance of business continuity plans in relation to Trade Marketing & Distribution (TM&D) activities.
Engage and train BAT employees and service providers to enable effective participation in the AIT strategy.

Essential requirements

Mature and of impeccable integrity.
Strong (10 years preferred) relevant experience in the development and implementation of intelligence-led security and investigation programmes.
Strong analytical skills in conducting threat, risk and vulnerability assessment and business impact analysis .
Proven people leadership skills and experience in managing 3 rd party providers
Ability to engage with high level internal & external customers/retail associations/suppliers
Experience in project and programme management.
Sound understanding of illicit trade and a good awareness of the related legal issues as well as evidential requirements underpinning the investigation and prosecution of offenders.
Discretion and the ability to handle and protect sensitive information
Strong commercial acumen
Understanding of the Route To Market model/ distribution channels
