Job Description:
My client, an international mining company are recruiting for a Security Superintendent to be based in Tinguilinta, Guinea on a rotational basis (8 weeks on/ 3 weeks off).

You will report to the HSSEC Manager and your role is to develop, implement and manage effective security control and protection strategic plans, policies and programs across all sites and operations in order to ensure company personnel, assets and interests are protected in adherence with world class security control and protection practices as well as international and local legislation or standards.

Policies, Processes & Procedures, Day-to-Day Operations, Investigation & Reporting, Training & Embedment, Maintenance, Testing & Inspection, Safety, Quality & Environment, People Management.

Adopt and adapt local, international and company policies, procedures and standards to be fit for purpose in the project requirements. Direction of work is subject to practices and procedures, output is managed. Immediate decisions may be required in the case of emergency situations or investigations.

Responsible for the scope and execution of all Security Service contracts approx. $1.0 - 2.0 million per annum spend. Responsible for protection of Assets valued in excess of one billion USD.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred (education can be replaced by relevant military/police experience and/or experience managing security in Africa).Accreditation or membership to a recognised association preferred
Requires at least 5-years of experience in security operations in Africa in similar industries (i.e., construction and mining) including at least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
Fluent in French and English is required.

Skills:
Knowledgeable in International Security Codes and best practices
Knowledge of ISPS code is a plus
Knowledgeable in Physical Information Security
Knowledgeable in Electronic Security Access Control System, CCTV Security System, burglar alarm system, intrusion detection system & fire system
Experience in administering a department preferably working with a multi-national team.
Experience managing subcontracted services
Experience in developing relationships with government entities in Africa (i.e., military, gendarmerie, immigration, etc.)
Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft office.
Working knowledge of international guidelines and standards, e.g. UN Human Rights Compact.
