Overview
As a valuable member of the Security Services team, you will be responsible for the management of the operational security services (facility and event), for all Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. properties, events, people and assets. Your leadership, passion and commitment to teamwork will contribute to inspiring others and living our vision and values.

Responsibilities
Manage, develop and motivate the department’s Full Time and Part Time staff
Manage, develop and motivate Security Services Supervisors
Act as liaison between our business partners other departments inside MLSE
Support the team in management of the Access Card system to the building
Support the team to ensure all equipment in the loading dock is functioning correctly
Support the team to ensure the camera and surveillance systems are operating correctly
Lead by example in team management and development, utilizing a “one team” approach; ensure departmental professionalism and winning vision are intact
Participate in operational events as required
Act as ‘Manager on Duty’ representing Security services as deployed at MLSE venues
Project management as designated, subject to operational needs
Develop training programs for security services in line with operational requirements
Troubleshoot day to day security management issues as they arise in the absence of senior management
Conduct quality control audits as required
Adhere to MLSE service standards, policies and procedures
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Perform other related duties as required

Requirements
Proven ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively
Possession of valid Security License (Bill C-159) an asset
Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
Confident user of MS Office 2000 and XP, particularly Excel
A creative self-starter, driven by results and alert to change
Ability to see the big picture and strategize accordingly
Both a team builder and team player who can relate professionally to all levels
Ability to enhance and lead a positive, innovative and encouraging work environment
Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
Available to work evenings and weekends as required
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
A positive, winning approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality and discretion
Working knowledge with Facility security systems – CCTV, access control
Availability to work days, evenings, weekends or nights as deployed/instructed.
