The Security Manager is responsible for the safety and security of employees, patrons, and company assets. In this role, you will lead your team in compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures. You will manage the security operations and staff, including training, hiring, scheduling, supervising and evaluating, while maintaining positive public relations and providing the highest caliber of customer service. You will be responsible for responding to major occurrences, such as fire alarms, bomb threats and evacuations. You will develop and control your departmental budget, monitoring overtime, tracking scheduled hours, and managing operational expenses.
The successful candidate will possess:
A university degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or comparable working experience, including
completion of a management training program
Managerial experience in a related field of five (5) or more years
Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and managerial skills
Working knowledge of computer software packages
Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate along with a Conflict Resolution Training Certificate (or equivalent course)
The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
