Security Adviser (Military/Police Experience) , Canada

Position Summary:
Working for this iconic organisation, as Security Adviser you will provide coordination and oversight on behalf of Regional Leader on Compliance, Investigation, Due Diligence, and Government program security activities. You will need to have experience in applying security procedures in a large Corporate or Government organisation and preferably a good understanding of Canadian Government Contractor requirements associated with government classified procedures. Experience of Security Audit/Compliance in accordance with ISO Standards an advantage. You will need to satisfy Canadian Government requirements for SC Security Clearance so must be a Canadian Citizen with 5 years residency qualification or ability to transfer or assure security clearance from other NATO member. Must have good communication skills, both oral and written, and be conversant with common IT programmes. The post will be office based in Canada with travel within the country and NW Europe (up to 25% distraction) and deployment internationally in support of emergency contingencies as necessary. Position will report directly to Regional Security Leader (Europe, Turkey, Israel, Russia/CIS, Canada, Americas). Current driving licence and Canadian Passport required.

Candidate profile:
Experience in a similar role in a large multinational or national regulatory, military or police organisation (Canadian).
Experience of applying Security Audit/Compliance/Investigative standards.
The candidate must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
Good IT skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to prioritise tasks of similar importance in a rapidly developing environment, demonstrate attention to detail and strong performance execution.

Representing the organisation as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Leadership and cooperation skills, good judgment and problem-solving talent, ability to adapt and flexible thinking.
