This position will provide Integrated Physical Security Systems support as part of an SAIC team for a Gulf Coast Countries security Command and Control Center design project. The scope of the project includes conducting the analysis and design for an Integrated Comprehensive security Command Center to protect critical assets and infrastructure. The team will also undertake a detailed study of the site-wide IT design, being implemented under a different work package, to ensure the design can properly support the security command and control centers and end-user Building Security Systems now and into the future. The Command and Control Center will support all required functions of strategic, tactical, operational and user level activities enabling the real-time visibility and management of the various Physical Security Systems (i.e., Access Control, Area Surveillance, Fire Alarm etc.).
The position will involve working closely with the SAIC project solution architect, SAIC security engineers, and customer network and physical security staff. The ideal candidate possesses solid physical security systems experience. The ideal candidate will also have above average organizational skills, communication skills, and map/plans reading skills.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of technicians in execution of a comprehensive survey of physical security equipment (Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, Perimeter Security, Fire Alarm, and other low-voltage systems)
- Meticulously document device types and locations on computer-based maps
- Transmit survey results on a daily, or greater, frequency to engineering team members
- Work closely with the solution architect, SAIC lead physical security and network architects, CAD technicians, and customer physical security and network representatives in preparation of a comprehensive set of system plans, to a fine level of detail.
- Maintain relevant documentation as needed.
- Work well within a global infrastructure team of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
- Involves travel to the Gulf Coast country for up to 3 months. Candidate must possess a valid Passport.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Or Equivalent Experience
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in implementing, analyzing or surveying sites for physical security, life safety, or other electrical systems
- Direct personal experience with control panels and configurations for IDS, ACS and CCTV systems, including IP, direct-wire, or POTS line connectivity.
- Intermediate, or higher, skill level operating Windows based applications, preferably physical security or central station applications including map-based software
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Lenel, VidSys, Pelco, Bosch, and Interlogix software
- Direct personal experience with control panels and configurations for IDS, ACS and CCTV systems, including IP, direct-wire, or POTS line connectivity.
- Arabic language and/or other foreign language skills a plus.
