Personal Security Transport Team Member , Afghanistan

Job Summary
The Personal Security Transport Team Member is responsible for mobile and static security operations for assigned program. Responsible for the personal protection of assigned principles and visiting senior leaders as assigned. Assists as required in the education and enforcement of security policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure a high standard of mission accomplishment.

Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Responsible for the safe operation of all assigned protective transportation of principles to ensure their safety, including mobile, air and static missions
Utilizes special weapons and tactics to ensure a high level of mission success.
Conducts protective formation positions daily and advanced security reconnaissance of projected routes.
Conducts static security assignments when directed.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provides deterrence against the commission of wrongful and unsafe acts, unauthorized and / or illegal activities, including potentially life threatening activities and protection of information.
Ensures proper use, maintenance, accountability and care of all company issued equipment.
Performs all positions within the team while on missions including driving, SAW gunner, shooter and when required shift lead.
Maintains comprehensive records of all mission assignments.
Completes all tasks and assignments in a timely and professional manner.
Precludes behavior that would reflect poorly on DI or DI’s customers.
Performs other qualified duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels.
Knowledge of company’s security policies and procedures.
Ability to conduct static security operations.
Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms used in support of company operations.
Ability to communicate in the English language.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.

Experience & Education
High School degree or equivalent required.
At minimum possess five (5) years military (Combat Arms) or Law Enforcement experience.
Must have obtained a Weapons Certification within last 10 years.
Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.


Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.

Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
