Movement Control Specialist Army

Movement Control Specialist  Army E7/8/9 - IRAQ

WORK HOURS: Hours per week expected to work in the position: At a minimum 72 hours/week.

Position Summary
The Movement Control Specialist must be capable of performing, but not limited to, the following movement control functions: Customer Service; Convoy Briefings; Safety Briefings. Employee must be familiar with Transportation Movement Requests (TMR) and Aviation Movement Request (AMR). The Movement Control Specialist must be capable of working independent in lieu of specific instructions to accomplish mission and enforce the importance of safety at all times.

Position Task Requirements:  


1. Determines the mode of transportation (rotary, fixed wing, convoy) personnel moves
2. Maintains communication with program management, air assets, employees
3. Assists Program Manager and site leads on transportation matters
4. Assists in carrying out the movement policy and directives from higher headquarters
5. Manages movement priorities
6. Manages delays in moving personnel. Monitors weather for movement impact
7. Coordinates movement from origin to final destination
8. Maintains accountability of personnel
9. Maintains 100 percent in-transit visibility of employees
10. Performs other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications

****************ARMY Senior NCO E7/8/9 *******CURRENT SECERT DoD CLEARANCE REQUIRED *********************

POSITION SKILL SET Requirements:

1. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
2. Military Experience
3. Middle East Experience
4. Proficient with MS Office (power point, excel, word, Outlook)
5. Strong briefing skills
6. Ability to work in a stressful environment along side persons from a different culture and work ethic.
