Position Description
We are looking for a Security Risk Manager to accept a global expatriot assignment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The assignment will be with the Ma'aden joint venture.

Responsibilities include:
* Collecting & analyzing intelligence to identify and anticipate significant risks and trends which can impact personnel, assets, reputation and operations
- Based upon the intelligence analysis, coordinating the development and implementation of effective, cost efficient preventive and mitigating security strategies and measures
- Works closely with Alcoa’s Manager of Global Intelligence and Threat Analysis
- Owner of a significant responsibility to the crisis management response effort in the region and equally important overseeing the crisis management preparedness and training initiatives
- Providing expert security counsel to the senior business leaders in the region
- Conducting Security Vulnerability Assessments and ensuring identified gaps are remedied within an appropriate time frame
- Provide security support to our Ex-pats and their families in the region as it relates to risk assessments and emergency procedures
- Advise and coordinate physical security standards with JV security departments to ensure compliance to Alcoa standards and governmentally regulated standards are met
- Conducting professional, confidential and legal investigations which produce meaningful results for the business or the company
- Educating and training managers and employees on significant risks and subsequent preventive mitigation measures
- Identifying and managing key external security resources in the region
- Identify and deploy cost effective technology solutions which lower the risk profile of the businesses as well as security related costs, losses, and liabilities
- Creates and maintains in-country intelligence network
- Pro-actively manages the travel security program for the region
- Develops and delivers vulnerability assessments for recommendations to travel and transportation to the region

Major activities/Key Challenges:
• Must be able to build and maintain in-country intelligence networks
• Maintain ongoing, high level in-country liaisons with Alcoa’s JV security department(s) credible law enforcement agencies, government intelligence services, private security companies, relevant security organizations like OSAC Country Councils, the Regional Security Officers and select national Embassy Officers, and private sector Security personnel.
• Must establish an effective working relationship with the leaders and partners to our JV and their direct reports to ensure that the security strategies are properly aligned with business objectives and that Global Security is positively contributing to the success of the business.
• A business relationship needs to be maintained with key senior corporate staff personnel to effectively participate in executive protection tasks.
• This person is expected to function as an effective, results driven individual contributor who requires minimal management oversight. However this person must also be able to ensure that the region’s Security Program remains properly aligned with the Global Security Program and appropriate business objectives.

Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education
• Must have strong understanding of regions culture and risk exposure. Regional experience would be preferred
• Demonstrated track record of successful security leadership which facilitated the business units in achieving outstanding results
• Demonstrated experience in intelligence analysis, identifying significant risks both current and future
• Experience with implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and tactical plans for safeguarding personnel and assets, conducting site vulnerability assessments and investigations, managing crisis and emergency situations
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficient IT skills
• Experience in complex operating environments and emerging markets
• Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels
Major Customers
- IPAM, KSA expat community, GPP, GRP
- Works closely with Alcoa’s Manager of Manager, Global Intelligence and Threat Analysis
- Works closely with Alcoa’s VP of HR for the Ma’aden joint venture and the local leadership team for the location.
- Provides security support to our Ex-pats and their families in the region as it relates to risk assessments and emergency procedures
Basic Qualifications * University degree or international equivalent from an accredited program(Masters preferred) in a related field of study.
* 10+ years total experience in international security which can be corporate experience, private contractor, military, law enforcement, or government intelligence service.
Note: Experience will include a minimum of 5 years as an international corporate security manager
* No Criminal record.
