AT/FP Weapons and Tactics Instructor

Job Description
(1) Provide training in accordance with the program of instruction on tactical infantry operations in a counter-insurgency environment. Instructs indigenous forces on proper movement techniques, mounted and dismounted weapons employment, urban warfare tactics, techniques, procedures; and force protection.
(2) Conducts Tactics, Force Protection (FP) and Anti-terrorism (AT) training
• Instructs Urban Warfare tactics at Team, Squad, platoon and Company level
• Instructs basic company level offensive and defensive operations
• Instructions on patrolling operations
• Instructs on night operations
• Instructs on Mountainous operations
• Maintains the ability to assist in the training of Vehicle Mounted Operations, EOD, IED identification and countermeasures
• Conducts training, practical exercises, and assists in evaluations of student performance Performs as observer/controller
• Provides training on Marine Corps individual and crew-served infantry weapons including the M16A2/4, the M4, 9 MM PISTOL, M240G, Shotgun, MK-19, M2 .50 CAL MACHINE GUN, AT4, as well as associated vision devices such as the ACOG and NVDs and other weapons that may enter the inventory
• Provides familiarization training/firing on foreign weapons expected in the OEF Theater (e.g., AK 47 and variants, SVD/PSL, PKM, RPG-7)
• Provides instruction on assembly, disassembly, immediate and remedial actions for OEF Theater foreign weapons
• Provides training to include combat shooting skills, tactical individual marksmanship, transition shooting skills, firing of weapons from tripod and mobile, vehicle-mounted and static/tactical locations/positions
• Provides safety assessments
• Provides training in first echelon field maintenance procedures for all listed weapons
• Provides day and night Familiarization Firing on all U.S. and foreign weapons
• Supports POI and lesson plans, student guides
• Develops updates; organizes lesson plans and materials as required
• Develops new training materials and revises existing classes as required

Qualifications
Degree Requirements: HS diploma
Relevant Experience (amount and type): Must be US citizen with minimum of 4 years experience in US military combat arms MOS (pay grade of E-5 or higher) or related billet filled and have participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. Also must have working knowledge of US Marine Corps and foreign individual and crew served weapons.
Must be able to successfully complete CENTCOM deployment requirements (to include medical and dental screening) in a timely manner, possess a current US passport and possess and maintain a US Secret Clearance.

Prefered Qualifications: 
A minimum three years experience in military training and education (instruction) and a minimum three years documented knowledge and experience in USMC weapons is preferred. Experience working with coalition forces, interpreters / translators and training Afghan Security Forces is a plus.
