Responsibilities
K2 Solutions, Inc. is seeking SOF Multi-Purpose Canine Master Trainer to support USASOC. The Master Trainers must possess a thorough understanding of operating a Dog Kennel, logistically as well as operationally. Must be familiar in writing training schedules, outlines, and programs of instruction (POI’s).Must be able to train and supervise Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) Teams, understand the MPC and its medical and nutritional needs. Additionally, he must understand the administrative requirements for the training and documenting the MPC and Handlers performance. The Master Trainer will become familiar with the organizations missions and capabilities.
Experience and Education:Required Skills:
-Individual must have a minimum of ten years experience in the training and handling of detection (narcotics and/or explosives), patrol and tracking dogs.
-Individual must be a graduate of a Canine Master Trainer course of all facets from imprinting of odors, training of detection, patrol and tracking dogs.
-Individual must be experienced with the training of handlers and the development of Programs of Instruction (POI).
-Individual must be experienced with the training and employment of tracking dogs.
-Individual should be experienced with mine detection operations.
-Individual is required to qualify for and obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
-Functional understanding of how to properly utilize, handle, and transport explosives used to train explosive detection dogs. Trainer must be capable of attaining unit/command training to handle and draw explosives from the Ammunition Supply Point (ASP).

Reporting Requirements:
This position will report to the Program Manager.
