Security Supervisor (Major U.S. Electronics Manufacturer)

Location: Americas-Tijuana - Mexico

Qualification
Under the direction of the Regional Security Manager and indirectly to the Plant Manager this position manages the safety and protection of our client’s plant employees and assets.

Responsibilities
• Continually update Regional Security and Plant Manager on security issues that may negatively impact business.
• Work with Regional Security and Plant Managers to prioritize security initiatives and on related costs required for any appropriate risk security management.
• Conduct annual physical facility security risk assessment.
• Draft and implement physical security policies and procedures for the Tijuana facility that is consistent with the Client’s Corporate Physical Security Standard.
• Draft and implement logistical security policies and procedures regulating the transportation of all material.
• Audit and maintain CCTV program including repositioning cameras as security risk dictate.
• Audit and maintain intrusion alarm system to reduce the risk of theft.
• Oversee the security incident response; investigate all thefts, threats, assaults, narcotics, security breaches, inventory discrepancies, logistical security thefts or discrepancies, contractual improprieties, property damage, for cause and corrective actions and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such incidents, as necessary.
• Manage internal and contracted security personnel and vendors who safeguard the company's assets, premises and facilities, as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors.
• Research and monitor regional security issues; distribute security communications when appropriate.
• Audit and coordinate with involved parties in maintaining the C-TPAT requirements
• Provide Plant Manager with personal security support including personal risk assessments and GPS units.
• Manage emergency communication systems (Iridium and BEGAN satellite systems).
• Work closely with operations manager to provide appropriate security measures to reduce theft at cell level i.e. inventory and high value tracking logs.
• Audit vendor contracts for contractual abnormalities.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES
• Degree in related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience as Security Manager in an electronics manufacturing plant.
• Excellent in verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish.
• Meticulous, result oriented, strong leadership skills and investigation techniques and driven by actions and results.
• Advance understanding on physical and logistical security, security audit, risk management and security contract and vendor negotiation and management.
• Have extensive investigative experience and understanding of Mexican criminal law and prosecuting methodology to present investigative findings to law enforcement agencies and management.
