Security Officer , Qatar

Location: Qatar
The Role
Our client is a government company in Qatar and is seeking to hire Security Officer to be responsible in recommending and establishing security policies, procedures and programs to ensure the safety of employees and the security of job sites and protection of assets.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and recommend security procedures and guidelines in coordination with relevant internal and external parties.
-Prepare and rationalize annual business plan and related budget
-Prepare Scope of Work of all relevant contracted services and materials
-Issues IDs for staff, contractors and guests
-Issues gate passes at the plant
-Strive to consistently employ and implement safety and security practices, policies, guidelines and principles
-Ensure effective and efficient utilization of security resources to deliver security services consistent with the Company’s objectives
-Provide advice on safety & security related matters (e.g. incident management, loss & crime prevention, physical security, traffic control and parking, access record-keeping, emergency management/response, etc).
-Take responsibility for the application, operation and integrity of security and life safety systems and implement operation programs to support modern security technology.
-Ensure accurate and timely reporting, notification and basic investigation of all safety and security related incidents.
-Administer and oversee all safety and security related services for assigned locations.
-Conduct and coordinate facility reviews and risk assessments and recommend/employ effective countermeasures.
-Develop and maintain strong contact with local security industry and law enforcement agencies.
-Establish and maintain emergency action plans at the sites to ensure prompt and effective emergency response and handling.
-Monitor and administer all related service contracts including coordinating outsourced security manpower
-Maintain appropriate security records to facilitate decision making.
-Maintain records and communicates information to Supervisor
-Assists police, as appropriate and needed
-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
-5+ years’ experience in security, police or military service.
-Bachelors’ degree in Business or any other related field. Relevant Diploma qualification e.g. Security, Investigation is an advantage
Professional knowledge in modern security methods, practices and techniques.
-Ability to supervise and lead a team.
-Communication and interpersonal skills.
-Able to work under pressure.
-Good command of both Arabic and English.
