About RI: Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging relief and development, currently seeks a Security Officer for RI’s programming in Jordan in response to the Syria crisis.
Position Summary:
The security officer is responsible for maintaining security materials and/or facilities of an emergency response project in response to the Syrian crisis to be implemented in Za’atari Camp, Jordan.
Duties
Guard materials and/or facilities, remaining awake and alert.
Control entry to secure space by requiring the showing of RI badges in order to gain access.
Prevent intruders or thieves from entering or seizing property.
Notify RI Logistics Manager of any threat to materials and/or facilities.
If requested by RI Logistics Manager, notify the national police of threats to materials and/or facilities.
Do not use excessive force.
Perform other duties as needed
Required Skills and Experience
Understand the humanitarian mission of the organization.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
