Job Summary
The Operations Manager Iraqn(OM-Iraq) is to assist the Programme Manager Iraq (PM-Iraq) in the management of projects in Iraq, ensuring compliance and profitability.

Central to the role is the requirement for careful management and briefing of the multiple stakeholders
in the Iraq Projects including:
•Clients
•Project Management
•Client leads
•Country Management Office
•LHO departments and operational support
oLogistics
oFinance
oPersonnel Management
oTraining, HSSE and QA
oBusiness development and Plans
OM-Iraq may be required to travel overseas including deployment to Iraq as and whenrequired.

Iraq reports directly to the Programme Manger Iraq under Director Operations.

Key Responsibilities•Manage passage of information and ensure project information management.
•Provide leave cover for PM-Iraq
•Monitor and maintain compliance of Projects in line with in-country legislation, operating requirements and client contracts.
•Assist in the monitoring of all project expenditure against agreed budgets to maintain and where possible increase profitability.
•Assume responsibility on rotation for Duty Operations Manager.
•Assist in the preparation of monthly project review with Finance in order to assist the PM-Iraq in the
presentation of the monthly Iraq Programme Review.
•Work closely with Finance to ensure correct invoicing and profit maximisation.
•Work closely with Logistics to ensure procurement is efficient and attributed to correct funding lines.
•Ensure maintenance of standards on Projects and ensure HSSE and Quality Assurance (QA) in
conjunction with the London Office HSSE/QA Manager
•Input into central reporting as defined by the Director Operations.
Be prepared to support the wider activities of the London Operations team.
•Maintain detailed situational awareness of responsibilities in case of out of hours urgent business.
•Provide input to Business Development and Planning for the Normalization process and opportunities that arise from OSC-I’s withdrawal from Iraq. Input includes presence at key Decision Point meetings.

Essential:
•Excellent briefing and writing skills.
•Experience of decision making and delivering operations under pressure.
•Experience of effectively operating with multiple-stakeholders.
•A strong understanding of the cultural and commercial characteristics of the Middle East.
•A strong understanding of risk, threat and threat mitigation.
•Capable of understanding the commercial environment and the opportunities for new business.
•Capable of understanding the functions of a Corporate Head Office.
•Capable of multi-tasking and prioritising in a under environment.
•Capable of managing budget information and invoicing.

Desirable:
•Military experience on operations at unit or brigade level.
•Ex Ops Officer, Adjutant or Bde SO3.
•Experience of operating/managing in the security sector.
