Job Description
Minimal Risk has an ongoing requirement to be able to provide Intelligence Analysts to support Government Operations around the world.
We are currently looking for applications from qualified candidates who have the necessary knowledge in supporting operations in Afghanistan.
There is an anticipated deployment date of around April 2013 and you would be applying to be selected, interviewed and if necessary have your DV started in order to be able to deploy around this date.
The details regarding this position are shown below and you will be expected to be able to provide evidence of meeting the criteria required.
Role Synopsis
Provision of intelligence analysis, reports, assessments and advice for the development of a common operating picture of the threat environment within operational/hostile environments.
Key Functions
- Daily collection, management and analysis of classified and unclassified SIGACTS.
- Provision of a weekly classified and unclassified intelligence summary, including executive summary and regional overview and threat assessment.
- Analysis of pattern and trends related to hostile activity.
- Management of regional and city statistics.
- Production of threat and risk analysis.
- Security surveys and production of security plans.
- Briefings of staff and contractors, visitors and others as required.
- Liaison with other organisations intelligence operatives.
Skills/Competences
- Strong analytical skills
- Accomplished writing skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong client facing skills
- Competent IT skills (MS Office)
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Previous knowledge of Afghanistan.
- Previous analysis experience particularly related to threat assessment and intelligence.
- Proven record of working in the field of intelligence collection.
- Collation and analysis in a military or police organisation within counter insurgency environment.
Preferred
- Arabist
- Pushtun
Terms and Conditions
Daily Rate – £285
Rotations 6+3
Flights booked at Economy level to and from the UK
There is no daily subsistence
Contracted to Minimal Risk
Interviews will be held in Hereford (date & time TBC). Details will be forwarded to successful applicants.
However, all candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application.
Qualifications
Qualifications and other requirements specific to role:
Essential
- Military (Intelligence Corps) or Police background of at least 7 years
- Minimum Cpl or Police equivalent.
- DV cleared or have held it in the past.
You must be a UK Citizen in order to apply for this position as the necessary Security Clearance will be obtained initially via Minimal Risk then by the UK Government to Developed Vetting level.
