ARMORER

Position Description Summary:
The Armorer will be responsible for all operations in the armory, the maintenance of all weapons and accounting of all weapons on the contract. He/she will be responsible for upgrading and installing necessary equipment on all firearms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain weapons for all personal protective, static guard and emergency response team security
service personnel
• Perform only authorized maintenance
• Maintain PRS detail and non-traditional guard force weapons
• Repair and maintain weapons in accordance with OEM standards
• Account for all weapons in his/her custody
• Responsible for the installation of special technical equipment including USG provided optical devices, flashlights, grenade launchers, night vision, and laser sights
• Report to the Client's Weapons Program Officer all work related technical activities

• Ability to establish, maintain and enforce operational standards
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain detailed records
• Demonstrated effective communications skills including strong written and oral presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability and willingness to work in hostile and conflict environment
• Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications
• Qualify through completion of a military, law enforcement, or equivalent civilian weapons Armorer school and four (4) years military, law enforcement, or equivalent civilian Armorer experience
• One (1) year of overseas experience performing as an Armorer
• Factory certified and has a current certificate, as required, on all weapons for which he/she is responsible Trained and certified to current, U.S. - recognized standards.
• Possess weapons repair certifications from the following gun manufacturers including: Colt, Glock, Remington, FNH and Knight’s Armament for the weapons required by task order
• English language proficiency (minimum Level III)
• Able to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
• Upon hiring the Armorer will be required to:
• Attend the non-PSS training course
• Obtain and maintain weapons qualification
