Airport Security Management (ASM) Instructor

DECO is currently recruiting for Airport Security Managment Instructors to assist in teaching with the Department of State Antiterrorism Assistance Program.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting classroom instruction, presentations and exercises in accordance with the guidelines and directives set forth by the US Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office
Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA).
Responsible for ensuring only current DS/T/ATA approved training materials (lesson plans, participant handouts, videos, and case studies) are used in the delivery of DS/T/ATA courses.
Responsible for returning all DS/T/ATA training materials including course CDs and for ensuring that all DS/T/ATA downloaded materials are deleted at the end of the course.
Assist in classroom preparation by the lead facilitator.
Assist with compiling End of Course Reports for submission.
Assist with the administration of pre- and post- Knowledge Surveys and summarize results utilizing DS/T/ATA approved format.
Assist with the administration of Participant Skills Evaluations as required and summarize results utilizing DS/T/ATA approved format.
Assist in the administration of Participant Critiques and summarize results utilizing DS/T/ATA approved format.
Assist in the day-to-day operational activities described in the Facilitator Guide.
Interact professionally outside of normal training hours, by the lead facilitator, with course participants, Post and Partner Nation officials when appropriate and approved by DS/T/ATA.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the field of airport security. Three years of airport security work experience equals one year of college. A maximum of three years of college may be substituted with work experience.
In situations where subject matter, technologies or procedures are evolving, qualifications will be evaluated by ATA on a case by case basis.
Demonstrated knowledge of the International Civil Aviation Organization Technical Program for Civil Aviation Security.
Seven years of civil aviation security management experience of which three years are in the international civil aviation security area.
Graduate of a local, state, or Federal or international civil aviation academy or institution.
Instructor Certification from a local, state, Federal law enforcement or military institution or from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) recognized organization.
Willing and able to deliver training overseas in low stability and austere environments below Western standards.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from any local, state, Federal, or international organization in advanced training course(s) related to the field of civil aviation security, counter terrorism, and crisis management.
Instruction experience delivering aviation security courses on TSA, ICAO, or other recognized aviation topics.
Ten or more years experience in civil aviation security assessments, inspections, or ICAO program implementation
Experience developing course materials in the area of law enforcement and/or aviation security, crisis management, quality assurance, or instructor development.
