Salary: £37,012 - £45,486 per annum

Within a changing and dynamic environment and reporting to the Estates directorate and senior management in the University you will provide expert advice to ensure the security of the institution, its physical assets and its people. You will have experience in security management at a senior level within a relevant organisation and must demonstrate the ability to work at a strategic and operational level using your knowledge of current security related legislation and practice. Essential skills include those of leadership and as you will report to various groups within the university proven communication, presentational and interpersonal skills are required.
A degree or qualification in security management is desirable and while working within a 36.25 hour week you must be flexible and prepared to respond to the 24-hour requirements of the University. Normally we envisage applications from candidates with appropriate experience in the public sector eg police/military services.
