Project Security Manager, GCC (A leading engineering firm)

Location: EMEA - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Qualification
Working within this multinational engineering firm, the focus of this role is to manage all aspects of security projects across the GCC region, including technical, financial and time elements to meet objectives.

Responsibilities
· Manage assigned security projects to meet business plan objectives
· Collaborate within and outside Operation Centre (OC)
· Take a wider view than OC alone, communicate across regions, think global, as well as local - support the ‘best for project’ initiative
· Actively engage Relationship Clients in communication on your projects
· Ensure the successful financial performance of the assigned projects and monitor; Utilisation, bill to target rates, productivity factors and complete workbooks
· Manage resources on your assigned projects in consultation with your manager
· Be part of the Performance Dialogue process with your manager
· Be a team player and foster and maintain a high level of staff morale and enthusiasm within the Section
· Contribute to technical team building
· Actively support a zero harm safety culture
· Develop new business for the security section in line with Business Unit Key Client strategies
· Actively participate in and contribute to the Security Section business development initiatives
· Assist Team Leader, Team Members and Project Director (PD) to ensure client satisfaction
· Operational. Actively participate in security section meetings
· Supervise Technical, Financial, Safety, Quality and Environment on all assigned projects
· Where necessary, supervise and mentor the junior security staff within the Section
· Understand and embrace the use of company systems and applications
· Ensure internal tasks (i.e. Workbooks, timesheets) are completed in a timely manner
· Assess risk and business plan alignment at proposal Go/No Go stage
· Obtain/Maintain relevant Authority License (e.g. DPS Licensed Security Consultant)
· Obtain relevant Authority Approval for all designs (e.g. Law 24, ADTA, etc)

Candidate Profile
· Minimum 7 years’ experience with Buildings Security Design and Applications
· Tertiary Engineering Degree in Electronics and/or Communications or similar
· General understanding of applied Security Design Concepts, Risk Analysis, Technologies including, but not limited to Security Management & Access Control Systems, CCTV and Digital Video Recording Systems, Intrusion Detection, Perimeter Detection Systems, Physical protective measures, Border security, Systems networking and Communication systems, Radio based and wireless communication systems, interfaces with other Building Services systems and support systems (e.g. Car Park Management Systems, Lifts, Fire alarms, etc)
· Experience with border security, physical border barriers, sterile zones and standoff distances
· The ability to design security systems to comply with relevant Authorities (e.g. DPS Law 24, ADTA, etc).
· Exceptional technical skill including both Design and Site based supervisory operations, testing and commissioning of security systems, troubleshooting and documentation of proposals, specifications, reports, schedules, etc.
· Highly skilled in both written and verbal English language
· Understanding of various design processes including different Contract arrangements and
· procurement methods
· Understanding of physical security and security operations and their impact on security technologies
· QA/QC project deliverables as part of the company’s risk management strategy
· Excellent time management skills
· Effective communication abilities within and outside Operations Centre
· Financially astute
· To be able to effectively communicate with team members
· Assist the Operations Centre Manager in identifying potential recruitment candidates
· The ability to build new and strengthen existing client relationships
· Embrace the corporate ‘Relationship Client’ focus
· Measure client satisfaction (internal and external)
· Be aware, be supportive and enforce all corporate Safety, Quality and Environment initiatives
· Motivate staff to embrace corporate systems and applications
