Program Manager – Convoy Security , Afgnanistan

The Role
The Convoy Security Program Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight to plan, transition, integrate, consolidate and control Convoy Security missions throughout Afghanistan.

The role involves working with both the Client and contractors while implementing a collaborative approach to institute and maintain a positive security culture. Accountable for rigorous conduct of operations, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and incorporating business goals. Responsible for the timely and effective management of convoy security operations throughout Afghanistan. Standardizes operations and deploys best practices among sites.

Key Duties
•Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining convoy security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization
•Responsible for responding to incidents, reducing risks, and to be aware of and have access to information on any potential risks (i.e. financial, physical security, reputation etc.) and directs the ongoing strategy to mitigate risk and maintain continuity of operations
•Provides a safeguard to both the Company and Customer and their organization’s assets, including intellectual property
•Coordinates with Senior Management in implementing operational strategies that will ensure protection for Company Personnel and Customer
•You will be expected to be both Customer and Company focused with a proactive approach as well as being able to handle and implement new ideas
•Responsible for reviewing contract terms and conditions ensuring compliance;
•Responsible for executing Customer contractual obligations in order to carry out the daily operations while remaining within budget;
•To ensure that the process of recruitment, induction and training of all staff is effective and compliant with our legal obligations to the Customer
•Must deliver continuous improvements in key KPI performances
•Responsible for ensuring that the day to day Convoy Security operations consistently meets the requirements of the customer, both in terms of service as well as meeting budgetary and financial goals of the site
•Responsible for reviewing contract terms and conditions ensuring compliance
•Responsible for executing the contractual obligations in order to carry out the daily operations while remaining within budget;
•Liaison with APPF and transport companies to carry out required services
•Develop contingency plans for the region in the event of security and/or delivery issues
•Must deliver continuous improvements in key KPI performances

The successful candidate will demonstrate effective communication with internal stakeholders and colleagues across various functions. Additionally, you will ensure that opportunities and synergies are identified and pursued whilst ensuring day to day excellence in the ongoing operation.

Requirements

•Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related concentration
•Minimum 2 years Afghanistan security experience required
•Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
•Prior work experience with USG contracts preferably in Afghanistan
•Due to the location of this position, applicants must be physically fit

•Candidates who are immediately available will be given preference
•This position is site based and on a rotation of 4 months on, 14 days off
•Travel, accommodations, food and security provided by the employer
•2 paid trips to Country of residence will be provided annually
